Chad Lewis joined Lauletta Birnbaum immediately after graduating law school, having focused primarily on corporate law and real estate law.
Prior Experience
Chad graduated cum laude from Temple University Beasley School of Law where he served as both the President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and Treasurer of the Jewish Law Students Association. Previously, he worked at Lauletta Birnbaum part-time during law school and full-time as a Summer Associate, assisting with commercial real estate transactions, private placement offerings, and intellectual property matters.
Seizing every opportunity to foster his passion for business while attending law school, Chad interned at the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center assisting clients on a wide range of issues from entity formation and commercial lease agreements to zoning and regulatory compliance. In addition, Chad was selected as one of twelve students to participate in Temple’s inaugural Start Up Law Practicum where he advised entrepreneurs in numerous states on matters of business formation and strategy. He also received the Ray Dombrowski Sports Law Scholarship as a testament to his dedication to the business side of sports.
Chad has long cultivated his interest in real estate as well. Before entering law school, Chad graduated from the Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business, having earned a degree in finance with a focus on real estate. At Temple Law, he supplemented this education by enrolling in the Integrated Transactional Program and taking courses centered on drafting and negotiating real estate documents.
A transactional attorney at heart, Chad is no stranger to litigation. He previously worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mitchell S. Goldberg of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. During his time in federal court, Chad wrote several bench memoranda, attended settlement conferences and jury trials, and gained unique insights into judicial decision-making. Moreover, as an intern at Lauletta Birnbaum, Chad gained significant experience drafting legal motions and assisting in discovery.
