Current Practice

Jacqueline is a dynamic young attorney who works on both the transactional and litigation teams. In this dual capacity, she works with the Firm’s more senior attorneys negotiating and preparing commercial contracts and she is involved with various types of litigation matters including those pertaining to executive compensation, regulatory compliance, fiduciary duty claims, and shareholder oppression.

Prior Experience
Prior to joining Lauletta Birnbaum, Jacqueline served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John E. Harrington, New Jersey Superior Court – Civil Division.  While in law school, Jacqueline worked in the Tax and Bankruptcy Section of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General and in a Center City Philadelphia law firm. She was also an extern for two federal judges, Judge Tonianne J. Bongiovanni, U.S.M.J. and Judge Kathryn C. Ferguson, U.S.B.J. Through these experiences, Jacqueline developed effective written and oral advocacy skills.

Leadership, Entrepreneurship, & Public Service
Through the Rutgers JD/MBA program, Jacqueline served as the MBA Association President as well as Editor and Technology Manager on the Journal of Law and Public Policy. She represented Rutgers Law on an international moot court team, competing in New York, Washington D.C., Munich, and Vienna.  She also worked as a student attorney representing clients in both federal and state court, as well as a teaching fellow and moot court coach in the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program.  Jacqueline was a peer mentor and executive board member on the Rutgers Association for Public Interest Law, where she helped raise over $50,000 to provide pro bono legal services.

At age thirteen, Jacqueline negotiated and drafted her first formal sales contract and at age eighteen, she worked with a partner to open her first small business.  She taught herself how to create a business plan, use that business plan to raise start-up capital, draft contract proposals, and develop creative marketing strategies to serve clients in the tri-state area.
