Carmen is an experienced lawyer from Colombia where she practiced for more than two years in both the public and private sectors. She represented small and medium sized companies in all phases of regulatory and private disputes including drafting and negotiating contracts for Colombian companies and other regions of South America.
Prior Experience
During her time at Drexel, Carmen received multiple academic awards such as Dean’s List for three consecutive semesters. She was also appointed as a Dean Scholar for Constitutional Law to assist the professor to teach first year students. Additionally, Carmen was selected to work as a Research Assistant on International Law for a Fulbright Scholar and Schell Fellow at Yale Law School.
Carmen was the first student from Drexel Law School to be selected for a highly competitive summer internship with the Legal Department of Bristol Myers Squibb. During this internship, she worked closely with attorneys in the transaction and corporate departments reviewing and drafting contracts and business plans. Carmen also had the opportunity to work with international clients and outside counsel. Carmen spent her last semester working at Spector Gadon & Rosen LLP working on issues related to commercial litigation and business law.
