Daniel L. Blanchard is an associate in the litigation department of Lauletta Birnbaum. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Prior Experience
Immediately prior to joining the firm, Daniel served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lee A. Solomon of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. His responsibilities as a Supreme Court law clerk included reviewing petitions for certification, preparing bench memoranda for the Court in advance of oral arguments, and drafting opinions on a wide variety of civil and criminal issues.
Prior to his clerkship with the Supreme Court of New Jersey, Daniel spent three years with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he worked on trial, appellate, and post-conviction relief matters involving complex homicide and death penalty cases and one year as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gwendolyn Blue of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
During law school, Daniel was a member of the Syracuse Law Review, Moot Court Honors Society, and National Trial Team. He was also placed on the Dean’s List, received both a merit scholarship and Office of Student Life Leadership Award, served as his 1L class president, and interned for the Honorable Theodore A. McKee of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, upon graduation, Daniel was among ten students voted into the Order of the Barristers, a national organization that honors oral advocacy and brief writing skills.

In the community, Daniel has served on the Board of the Lutheran Settlement House, a non-profit organization providing social, educational, employment, and counseling services to adults, youth, families, and seniors in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, and was also a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Criminal Law American Inn of Court.
