Specializing in:
Lauren comes to Lauletta Birnbaum with a range of legal experience gained through both her academic career and prior employment. Notably, much of her expertise derives from her experience handling complex insurance defense matters at both large and mid-sized regional firms.
Prior Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked as a paralegal for a large corporate defense firm where she focused on investigating and defending insurance claims for the Amusement, Sport, and Recreation Practice Group. Through her work as a paralegal, Lauren developed strong analytic and writing skills, while becoming familiar with the civil litigation process. As an Associate, Lauren defended insurance claims in the areas of premises liability, liquor liability, as well as general insurance and liability defense. She assisted in complex arbitration and litigation matters, and often obtained quick resolution of many claims on motion, by careful investigation of the damages claimed.
During law school, Lauren was a competitive member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society, which afforded her the opportunity to become familiar with the skills necessary to settle disputes by means other than formal litigation. Lauren also served as the Vice President of the Real Estate Law Society.
