Dante B. Parenti is a highly experienced commercial litigator that has represented clients in all types of commercial, contractual, shareholder, and other types of disputes. Dante also specializes in estate disputes and will contests as well as representing clients in land use matters throughout southern New Jersey (both seeking approvals as well as litigation involving land use appeals).
Dante maintains AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbel, the highest possible rating for both ethical standards and legal ability. This award is conferred by Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a former Chairman of the District IV Fee Arbitration Committee.
Dante was born and raised in Atlantic County. After graduating from Buena High School in 1977, Dante obtained a B.A. in Economics from Ursinus College in 1981. He then obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1984 from The Dickinson School of Law of Penn State University.
Since that time, Dante has been a long-time resident of Vineland, Cumberland County, where he resides with his wife, who are now empty nesters. Dante and his wife have two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren all of whom live in Florida.
Representative cases:
• Obtained a verdict on behalf of a minority shareholder in an “oppression” claim against majority shareholders including the award of attorney’s fees.
• Successfully secured a multimillion-dollar buyout on behalf of “oppressed minority” shareholder.
• Obtained a verdict defending an individual named Power of Attorney against allegations of breach of fiduciary duty and undue influence.
• Represented numerous general contractors in construction disputes in court litigation and arbitration involving contractual scope of work, delay damages and alleged construction defects.
• Represented individuals and businesses in disputes involving real estate, contracts, commercial law, employment law, construction and lien law.
• Litigated and mediated multiple shareholder and member disputes.
• Successfully prosecuted claims on behalf of beneficiaries against Executors due improper handling of estate and estate assets.
• Successfully defended numerous executors in estate disputes.
• Obtained verdict reforming deed which had incorrectly conveyed Grantor’s property interest.
• Secured injunction on behalf of business against former employee who misappropriated proprietary information
